Victoria's Container Deposit Scheme
Get your 10c Refund
We are a collection point for the Victorian Container Deposit Scheme which started in 2023. Eligible containers receive a 10c refund. Most aluminium, glass, plastic and liquid paperboard (carton) drink containers between 150mL and 3 litres are eligible. Look for the 10c mark on the drink container label.

We are unable to accept containers through the shop front, or outside of these hours.

How It Works
Drop off your eligible containers to the rear entrance of Twist and Sprout (enter via the IGA car park and look for the roller door) and ring the bell if the door is shut.
Containers are sorted and counted by hand. Customers must be present for the counting. Pre-counting is also not allowed; we will count your containers (Visy requirements).
Containers can be dropped off in bags, boxes, or bins as practical for you. Containers should be in relatively good condition, not crushed, with labels and barcodes visible. You can make the process quicker and easier by sorting your containers by material type - aluminium, plastic, glass, etc.​
There are several ways to receive your refund:
1) Cash
2) Bank transfer (download the CDS Vic North app, create an account and enter your bank details).
3) Donate your refund to an organisation or group. Local groups currently registered as donation partners include:
